The Kids

Julia is 7 weeks old today. Time has really flown. I am so much more aware of how fast they grow up with this baby than with Lucas. She is getting bigger everyday. Julia weighs 12 pounds plus some (we are estimating based on addition and subtraction on the scale with us) and loves to smile, coo, and watch her brother be crazy. Lucas loves to talk to Julia and keep her company. He cannot wait until she is big enough to play with. He tells her stories and gives her her paci when she cries. It is a joy to watch him be a big brother.

Lately, we have been lazy at home. I know that are time as a family of four all day long is winding down,so I am taking advantage of it as much as possible. We stay in jammies, drink coffee (daddy and I, not the kiddos) and watch cartoons. We play on the porch and take "bubble breaks" by putting dish soap in the sink and playing in it. It's back to work soon, and while I look forward to more structure and getting Lucas back to his WONDERFUL school, I know that time will fly when we are working and I will be back full time before I know it.
Sigh.
