A Lovely Day in Irvington
Today we got to visit with Justyn and her tribe in Irvington. We had pizza and checked out Homespun, a fun new shop, and played on the playground in the scorching heat. Ashley, Auden, and Jill joined us for the festivities and we had a great time.
Julia Louise was fawned and fretted over like a proper little princess by Bella, Ava, and Mimi. They carried her, fed her, and gave her so much attention that she was in heaven.
Lucas and Basil bonded immediately. They had a wonderful time together eating pizza at the boys table all by themselves, interrupted by Mimi every now and then. She had to keep her eye on them to make sure they weren't getting into any trouble.
The boys had "secret" meetings under the table, complete with notebooks and "hammers" made of soap and straws. I love when I get to see friends that I haven't seen in forever and it is as if no time has passed, you just fall back into the old friendship and things are simple and easy. It is like that for Justyn and her babes and I every time, and it is priceless.
I was there the day Ava was born. I took care of Bella at 5am when Justyn called to say she was in labor. Laura and I took turns watching Bella that weekend. I cannot believe that Bella is 10 and Ava is 8!!! Time flies....
