Welcome to November

The beginning of November means musical season. Both mama and daddy have shows in the next two weeks. It's nuts.

Mama has been at school on the weekends working q to q and dress rehearsals for Guys and Dolls. Daddy has been building a set for Willy Wonka.

Julia and Lucas come to rehearsals with mama often, thanks to the fabulous Granny who is kind enough to drive them over after school. Here Julia is drawing while the orchestra practices in the background. I couldn't get a shot of Lucas. He was running amok with the vocal director's daughter who is the same age. They have a blast.

Halloween was a blast. Julia was a flower princess girl thing and Lucas was Dracula.

He slept off the candy no problemo.

Over fall break we made Halloween cookies and hung up Happy Jack made by Granny many years ago. The kids love when Jack goes up. Granny has one on her door too.

They had an awfully fun time hanging out with each other and mama over fall break. Getting back into the routine has been, well, lame.

I snapped these last few pictures of Julia and Aunt Julia over break. Both of the kids just love this old kitty Oscar. They call him Ahkers. Too much fun.
