9 day stats

Julia Louise (we tend to call her the whole thing since there is Julia original around and all) had her 2 week appointment yesterday. It was at 9 days because she was jaundice when the doc saw her in the hospital so she wanted to see her early. Well, this young lady showed all of us who's boss. She weighed in at 8lbs 9oz, 2 oz above birth weight at only 9 days old! She was expected to be 8lbs 7oz at day 14! Also, she is now 21.5 inches long. She has gained an inch in one week! My babies are such string beans. Dr. Bergstein was very very very impressed and Mama was thrilled to have that positive reinforcement for all of the breastfeeding which can be very exhausting at times. Last night she gave us a solid 3 hour stretch from 1 to 4am which was LOVELY. Then she nursed both sides 3 times, pooped 3 times, had 3oz from a bottle and nursed again from 4 to 6am before burping and passing out. TMI I know.
