Julia Louise Reiberg

Arrived around 5:35 PM or so, weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz., and has a big bruise on her forehead from where she bonked her mother's tailbone. The coccyx coliision was not remotely pleasant at the moment of birth for mama Carrie, and will probably be unpleasant for days to come, but she says it was worth it. I'm thoroughly impressed with both of the women in the room with me right now, the wee one and the mother one. Tough broads, I tell ya.

Thanks to her wonderful Aunt Julia for her help in the delivery room and for letting us steal her beautiful name.

Thanks to Gran, Grandad, Nana, Boppa, and Grandma Sandy for all their help and support. I could try to come up with a better set of grandparents for my children, but I'd fail.

Thanks to Lucas Andrews Reiberg for being the best little boy a mommy and daddy could ask for. His post-partum photography is rather exceptional for a boy of barely three years, and his patience often extends well beyond his years, except when it doesn't. He makes me and his mother very happy every single day of our lives.

The little girl took a minute to get into the pink, but once she caught her breath, she was hungry and fussin'. She has nursed once already and is sleeping like, well, a baby.
