These past two weeks have been insane. My co-teacher got laid off, despite a disparity in numbers and my suspicions of less than fair politics going on in my department. I am now in the midst of a debate and battle for my program. This may or may not have a positive outcome for me; regardless I feel it necessary to stick up for myself and my students. They are getting screwed. Unacceptable.
But enough about that for now. Julia likes to roll around on the floor and play with toys. She babble, babble, babbles all the time. Lucas loves her to death. They have a great time together. Lucas has starting going upstairs to the preschool room with his class at school. It is in preparation for next year when he will be in the class three days a week. He seems to like it a lot. He has reconnected with some students that were in his class last year. They have fun together.
She will be one in June. He will be four in May. Oh my.

I am so sorry about your situation at school! I will keep you in my thoughts and I hope it all works out. I have friends who are teachers in NJ and they had a BLOODBATH recently, cutback after cutback. Hang in there, Mama.
