Calgon Where Have You Gone?

We've been going through some stuff the last few days...weeks...month....Let's just say that Lucas has reached the most difficult stage yet.
Eric and I are in agreement that he has never been quite this nutso. He wants so badly to make all of his own decisions and be in charge of everything, and he gets his feelings incredibly hurt when we have to force him to do things or we make choices for him. I am trying to make sure he gets to choose some things for himself, and I need to take a page from my Mom (who let him help her put a QUILT together yesterday!) and learn to trust that he can do more and more these days. He is still just as sweet and wonderful as ever, just in less frequent intervals.

His sister is in to EVERYTHING. She likes to empty out bookshelves, purses, drawers, boxes, folders, anything she can get her hands on. Julia is already a lot more vocal than Lucas was at this age. She has a lot to say, and most of it is directed at Luc. They love each other a lot, they also wail on each other a lot....see that, I just had to pause typing so Lucas could scream at me about some damn candy cane he found from Christmas that he simply must have NOW!!!! Holy Hell.

I did what any sane person would do when her preschooler is EVIL, her baby is TROUBLE, and her air conditioning is BROKEN. I cut off my hair. And I LOVE it.
